Desolation is a full-fledged story campaign with a new protagonist and locations. Diana Mendez will have to solve puzzles using a portal device, which is also a cybernetic prosthesis for her arm.
The full version will feature around 50 test chambers. In addition to a new original story, the creators are preparing their own soundtrack. It is currently unknown whether the project will be free or paid, like Black Mesa, the fan remake of Half-Life.
The authors admit that the release is still several years away.
