Tentative plans suggest that the mode will arrive in the online shooter in late 2021. A group of Ubisoft Massive veterans is responsible for the additional content. The authors promise:
“Alongside the game mode, we are investigating new ways to progress your agent, with an emphasis on increasing build variety and viability. More information will be revealed closer to the update's release.”
For now, the developers will re-run previous Year 2 seasons of The Division 2. This means that the next one, Season 5, will effectively be Season 1, allowing players to collect rewards they might have missed.
Some statistics on the game were also shared. The total player count across both installments has exceeded 40 million. In the second game, 109 billion NPCs have been eliminated, 20 billion items collected, and 156 billion headshots landed.
