35 million copies of Terraria sold. It is the highest-rated game on Steam

Re-Logic released its hit on Steam in Early Access back in 2011. Since then, the developers have poured, alongside a decade of their lives, immense effort into the project and are now reaping bountiful rewards.

In 2020, it was reported that 30 million players had purchased Terraria, and recently the creators revealed that they had sold another 5 million copies over the past 12 months. The indie 2D competitor to Minecraft is available on virtually every possible gaming platform, ranging from mobile devices to Google Stadia.

Of the 35 million copies sold, the largest share belongs to PC – 17.2 million, followed by mobile devices – 9.3 million, and consoles with 8.5 million. A few days ago, the game appeared on Google Stadia, despite the fact that the creator had vowed to cut ties with Google.

Terraria also became the highest-rated game in the Steam Top 250 with 98% after 557,000 reviews. It is followed by Portal 2, The Witcher 3, Hades, and Factorio.
