Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord developers summarize results of first year in Early Access

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord was released on March 30, 2020. A year has passed since its Early Access premiere, and the developers have outlined the key changes.

During this time, the game's average performance in 1,000-soldier battles improved from 27–30 frames per second to 47–50 frames per second on a PC with a GTX 1080 and i7 8700k. On the technical side, the project's file size was reduced by 10 GB, the amount of object pop-in in front of players was decreased, DLSS support was added, and save file sizes were reduced by 80%.

The TaleWorlds team added a photo mode, reworked the interface, and expanded the character perk system to 300 options. They also made sure to improve the combat system, added new maps and other elements to multiplayer mode, and introduced modding tools.

A detailed description of the changes can be found on the game's Steam page.
