Voice chat in Valorant is now available for players from Russia

Voice chat has become available for Russian players in the Riot Games shooter. Earlier, the Chinese company announced that it would record voice conversations to combat toxicity.

Since its release in June 2020, players from Russia were unable to use voice chat in the competitive shooter Valorant.

As the reason, the developers cited “uncertainty in the regulatory environment.” This restriction did not apply to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and other countries in the region.

A few hours ago, game producer Sara Dadafshar announced that players from Russia can now use voice chat.

As a reminder, on June 2, an agency under Roskomnadzor proposed to introduce regulation of the video game market in Russia.
