The editors analyzed the character models and several close-ups. They are truly realistic: the added graphical details take full advantage of the capabilities of both next-generation consoles and modern PCs. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 also utilizes ray tracing technology, with a particular sense of realism achieved in swampy environments and interiors. With ray tracing enabled, the interiors of buildings look genuinely terrifying, while the interplay of light and shadow makes everything appear as lifelike as possible.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl is scheduled to release on April 28, 2022, on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
