Song of Iron is an intriguing 2D adventure from developer Joe Winter (Resting Relic) in partnership with ID @ Xbox. The creator has finally decided on a release date.

The game will showcase the adventures of a warrior traveling to meet the gods and save his people. To do this, the Viking will have to explore perilous lands and trap-ridden temples, confronting monsters and men with swords and magic.

The indie project will be released on August 31, 2021, on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox One X|S. To mark the announcement, a new gameplay trailer was presented.

This is an Xbox console exclusive, but unlike many similar games, it will not be available day one on Xbox Game Pass, as the creator announced on Twitter.
