Gran Turismo Sport to receive an update. Developers haven't forgotten about the racing game

Polyphony Digital has announced a patch for Gran Turismo Sport. The studio is currently working on Gran Turismo 7, but players will soon be able to download additional files bringing improvements to the 2017 racing game.

Gran Turismo Sport entered the market with a relatively small amount of content, which was subsequently added on a regular basis. Fans received new tracks and car models, and in 2020 it was reported that the amount of content in the game had doubled since launch. Ahead of the release of Gran Turismo 7, the studio has been rolling out improvements less frequently, but has not abandoned them completely. For instance, in July, players were able to test drive the new Toyota GR 86 '21 (N200).

Polyphony Digital has announced the next update, which will become available for download on September 9. The developers have not yet disclosed any further information or details about it. Some fans point to the specified date, linking it to the PlayStation Showcase presentation, but this could turn out to be a mere coincidence. It is not ruled out that the files will simply resolve minor inconveniences in Sport Mode.

Naturally, fans are rubbing their hands together ahead of the Sony event, eagerly waiting for a fresh trailer and the release date announcement for Gran Turismo 7.
