Digital Foundry experts examined the game on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and it turned out to have quite a few improvements. The creators haven’t yet fully mastered the hardware capabilities, so dynamic resolutions are observed across both console families: up to 1872p on PS5 and 2160p on Xbox Series X. Xbox Series S outputs an image up to 1224p.
Far Cry 6 utilizes the capabilities of solid-state drives, and the transition from the main menu to the game takes just 6 seconds. In terms of performance, there are no particular quirks – each platform delivers a solid 60 frames per second with minor drops down to 57 frames.
