VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb shared details about an alleged unannounced Obsidian Entertainment project.
It is a detective role-playing game (RPG) about investigating murders — players will have to talk to characters, collect evidence, and accuse suspects of committing the crime. If you make a mistake, the game does not end, but players will face consequences.
The project focuses on experimental mechanics and interactions. The setting is 16th-century Europe. The game will feature no combat, with detective mechanics serving as the core of the gameplay.
The project is reportedly led by Fallout: New Vegas game director Josh Sawyer. The release may take place in 2022.
