Battlefield 2042 is no longer in the “top ten” worst games in Steam history, but is slightly worse than Umbrella Corps

At launch, Battlefield 2042 was met with a flood of negative reviews on Steam, but the situation is gradually changing. However, the game is still rated slightly worse than the infamous Umbrella Corps

Battlefield 2042 received a massive amount of negative reviews and at one point entered the list of the worst games in Steam history. It is topped by eFootball 2022 from Konami.

However, since its release on November 19, the game has nevertheless received enough positive reviews to start raising its rating. Currently on Steam, Battlefield 2042 has 30% positive reviews out of 47,806 total.

This has affected its position in the list of the worst. Battlefield 2042 is now in 12th place, while 13th place is occupied by Umbrella Corps, which became infamous for its less than stellar technical state.

For Battlefield 2042, devs  promise to release patches, and an insider reported that DICE will undergo an overhaul. It is not ruled out that positive changes will be reflected in BF 2042’s rating on Steam.
