On the Reddit forum, a user named Jagsfootball51 showed how quick and easy it is to cancel smoke grenades in Battlefield 2042.
As it turns out, to get rid of a smoke screen, all you need to do is quickly go to the menu, open the “Collection” subsection featuring the operatives (specialists) that replaced the usual classes, switch back to “Play”, and return to the game. The smoke will vanish.

The entire process takes about 2 seconds. If a player holds an advantageous position, like the author of the video, such a bug provides a simple way to gain a tactical edge on the battlefield.
DICE is working on patches, while an insider claims that there are plans to shake up the dev team. It is unknown how much time it will take to “fix” the game, but Battlefield 2042 has already received only 34% positive reviews on Steam out of 58,682.
