Warhammer meets XCOM. Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters gameplay revealed

The Warhammer 40,000 universe is constantly expanding. New games across various genres are regularly announced – from the action-slasher Space Marine II to the tactical strategy Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters, scheduled for release in May.

On May 5, a fresh release from the iconic Games Workshop brand will hit the market, and this time it is quite unusual. Many have wondered what it would be like if Warhammer 40K joined forces with the XCOM brand. Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters will provide that answer. Naturally, this is not the first tactical game in the series, but it comes closest to the modern XCOM formula.

Interestingly, the newcomer will be a reboot of the classic 1998 game, which was also a turn-based strategy, albeit crafted in a different style. Actual gameplay footage has surfaced online for the first time, rather than trailers directed by Complex Games marketers.
