“Watched too many American movies?” A free-to-play game set in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe will be released on Unreal Engine

The developers intend to deliver not only eye-pleasing graphics, but also the atmosphere that many remember. They want to take players back to 2007

IBgame presented a trailer for Stalker: New Life: “this is a new, exciting story set in the Stalker universe”.

In the description of the video, they emphasize that attention is paid not only to the visual component, but also to optimization.

In the announcement, the developers revealed their plans: “...we are not porting the game Stalker. ‘New Life’ is a fresh, standalone game in this universe [Stalker]. We are simply trying to recreate this unique atmosphere and provide a new perspective on old, familiar places and locations. To feel like a pioneer again, get into a time machine, and end up in 2007”.

Stalker: New Life will be distributed under a “free-to-play” model. The release is scheduled for September 2022 for PC on Windows and Linux.
