Thief meets Bloodborne. Gloomwood developers showcased gameplay and announced early access release date

The grim Gloomwood shows itself in all its glory in a new trailer. The project features the “voice” of SHODAN from System Shock

Developer duo Dillon Rogers and David Szymanski presented a gameplay trailer for Gloomwood. The stealth horror game combines the gothic touches of Bloodborne and the mechanics of Thief.

In a Steam announcement, they spoke about the “familiar voice” heard in the trailer: Terri Brosius, the voice of SHODAN from System Shock.

They also revealed artwork featuring the Countess of Gloomwood (“gloomy wood”).

Gloomwood is scheduled to launch in Early Access on August 16.
