Halo Infinite consumes nearly 1 GB of internet data in a couple of matches — not everyone can afford the data-hungry free-to-play shooter

Users have noticed that the free-to-play shooter Halo Infinite is actively devouring internet data. Not everyone has the money to afford such a Microsoft game

There are many questions about the free-to-play shooter Halo Infinite, for instance regarding the project’s development. Another one has been added to the list.

As it turned out, Halo Infinite actively consumes internet data: a few matches can easily “eat up” 1 GB. Since not everyone has an unlimited data plan, such a data-hungry free game is not affordable for everyone.

Players noticed that a match itself consumes about 11 megabytes on average, but then the oddities begin: every time after returning from a match to the main menu, the system receives 300 megabytes of data. As a result, a few matches “cost a pretty penny.”

A representative of 343 Industries stated that the developers are already investigating this issue. A fix is expected to be included in the August update. Such “promptness” did not particularly please the Halo Infinite community.
