Doom Eternal developers are working on their next big game

Two years have passed since the release of Doom Eternal. At the QuakeCon event, id Software head Marty Stratton was present and announced that his team is developing their next big game.

id Software is owned by Bethesda, and more recently, Microsoft. The studio’s games are available in the Xbox Game Pass catalog. Over the past ten years, the developers have released Doom, Rage 2, and Doom Eternal.

Stratton shared that id Software is developing its next project, but the team is not yet ready to share initial results with the gaming community.

“Here at id, the team is hard at work on our next big game... while we aren’t ready to share details right now...”.

Specific details about the project are being kept under wraps, but the game will definitely be released on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and on Xbox Game Pass.
