Total War: Warhammer 3 fans have long been waiting for Immortal Empires, and the grand campaign has attracted thousands of players. On the beta launch day, August 23, nearly 120,000 players were playing concurrently on Steam. This is the highest figure since the game’s release in February.
According to the developers at Creative Assembly, Immortal Empires is the largest and most ambitious project in the history of the series. This is because it combines the campaigns from the three games in the Total War: Warhammer series, offering a massive amount of content. It is therefore no surprise that fans rushed to test the campaign, even though it requires owning the two previous games in the subseries.
For about a week, the number of concurrent Warhammer III players on Steam has been fluctuating between 60,000 and 100,000. Previously, this number had stayed around 8,000 for a long time. Thus, the third installment has left the second game far behind, whose peak record was less than 85,000 concurrent players.
