“Thanks, we don't care” An RDR Online player reported a cheater to Rockstar, but was politely brushed off

A Red Dead Redemption player encountered a peculiar response from Rockstar Support when trying to report a cheater

IrishLegends shared his not-so-successful experience reporting a cheater in Red Dead Online. He received a reply from Rockstar, but far from the one he might have expected.

A Rockstar representative thanked him for reaching out and for his time. However, they then wrote: “...but cheater reports for Red Dead Redemption 2 are not currently being accepted.”

Commenters mocked the situation with Rockstar Support:

  • “Thank you for reaching out, we don't care. Have a great day.”
  • “Thank you for contacting us. Play GTA Online instead, it brings us more money. Have a nice day.”

Later, IrishLegends shared a second email from Rockstar. It seems the previous one was “misunderstood”.

A Rockstar manager reached out, clarifying that the previous message stating reports were not being accepted was incorrect. As claimed, they take dealing with cheaters and griefers seriously.

According to the player, he only received the second email because his Reddit post gained traction and many people supported him.

As it turned out, IrishLegends lost all of his progress in Red Dead Online.
