Russian developers of Will&Reason created Russian voice acting using Mind Simulation AGI lab speech synthesis

Modern technologies make it possible not only to simplify the game development process, but also to create voice acting for them

The developers of Will&Reason released a dev diary featuring gameplay footage of the turn-based 4X strategy game. In the video, you can evaluate the Russian voice acting.

There is a catch to this Will&Reason voice acting. All voices featured in this diary were synthesized by a system developed by Mind Simulation AGI lab (MS).

MS is positioned as a “decentralized research laboratory aiming to achieve artificial general intelligence”.

MS has two projects: CyberMind, which allows endowing in-game characters with intelligence using AI (creating a “digital personality”), and SteosVoice — “the vocal cords of Mind Simulation AI”; for example, this project will provide NPCs with unique voices.
