Streamer borrowed over $200,000 from viewers and lost it all in a casino

Popular streamer and former Team Liquid member going by the nickname ItsSliker admitted over the weekend that he scammed friends and fans out of huge sums of money, which he used to fuel his gambling addiction.

“I gambled with huge amounts of money. Almost all the money I earned was on Twitch. I would run into streamers and ask if they would lend me money. Of course, I didn't give the reason. I lied because it was all related to gambling.”

Another popular streamer who plays virtual casinos, Trainwreck, “shelled out” over $200,000 for his colleague. In addition, ItsSliker asked viewers for money using the lie that his bank account was temporarily locked. The funds were supposedly to be returned in two months, which naturally did not happen.

“This is what gambling has done. It is a major danger, and I am a prime example of gambling addiction. I used to lie to viewers and say that "I haven't gambled in a long time." That was a lie because I was constantly gambling.”

During a broadcast, ItsSliker assured that he did not intend to hurt anyone and plans to return the borrowed money. How – is unknown, but he also promised to seek professional help.

The situation led to a flurry of claims from victims online – Lukeafk lent $27,000, Asmongold over $200,000, and this is likely not all.

Gambling on Twitch is currently under intense public scrutiny. One of the most popular streamers, xQc, has also admitted to an addiction and to losing over $2 million in virtual casinos.
