The Dark Pictures anthology will kick off season two with space horror

Supermassive Games has recently adopted a clever trick: after completing a game in The Dark Pictures Anthology series, players can watch a trailer for the next installment, and The Devil in Me is no exception.

Although the official release is still ahead, some have already managed to finish the game and share recorded footage, including a teaser for season two.

Directive 8020 is set in space, specifically in the constellation Cetus. What is known so far is that the scout ship “Cassiopeia” has passed the “Charybdis mark” and is heading toward the super-Earth Tau Ceti f, which is meant to become a new home for humanity. But things went awry: the ship suffers hull damage, and one of the crew members, Simms, attempts to kill another, Thomas Carter.

Supermassive Games is clearly appealing to fans of various horror subgenres, with each subsequent installment of The Dark Pictures anthology differing from the previous one by offering a fresh atmosphere and theme.
