Valve removed Dust 2 from the CS:GO competitive map pool, cut AWP ammo, and nerfed the M4A1-S

Valve continues reshaping Counter-Strike Global Offensive. A legendary map has taken a hit, and famous weapons were affected as well

The Counter-Strike Global Offensive community was once again surprised by changes. Valve has revised the competitive map pool, took aim at the famous sniper rifle, and more.

Dust 2 has left the Counter-Strike Global Offensive competitive map pool (esports), while Anubis was added. Both maps will still be available in casual game modes, including competitive matchmaking.

The AWP ammo capacity has been reduced from 10 to 5 rounds.

The M4A1-S now deals less damage at long ranges (the damage falloff modifier was reduced from 0.99 to 0.94).

Although Dust 2 is a legendary map synonymous with Counter-Strike, at the IEM Rio Major 2022 it turned out to be the least popular.
