Spiritual successor to Prey 2 is being ported to Unreal Engine 5. How Vigilancer 2099 is doing

A full-fledged Prey 2 was never released, but the game's concept inspired some people. Vigilancer 2099 continues to shape up nicely

Vigilancer 2099 still exists. The game became known a few years ago, back when it was being developed on Unreal Engine 4.

However, relatively recently Epic unveiled the more modern Unreal Engine 5. Envoidant Studios responded and decided to update the engine for Vigilancer 2099.

Vigilancer 2099 is positioned as an open-world game set in a cyberpunk setting. Players will engage in bounty hunting. The game is inspired by “Blade Runner” and the cancelled Prey 2.
