The video is less than 30 seconds long, but it is worth watching. The game is supposed to be much more of a “sandbox” than previous installments, offering players a wide choice of methods to complete objectives. This is clearly visible in the footage, where the character shoots a padlock with a revolver to open a locked door. Naturally, it will also be possible to find a key.
As a reminder, Amnesia: The Bunker is coming to PC and Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The release will take place in 2023.
The game is set in a bunker during World War I. Unlike previous installments, which offered mostly linear maps, Amnesia: The Bunker will take place in a single location with a semi-open structure. Instead of scripted events, gameplay will largely be a “sandbox” shaped by players’ own decisions and responsive AI. Many elements will be randomized. Sounds ambitious.
