In 2022, the long-awaited release of Persona 5 Royal took place on PC via Steam. However, the game did not receive a Russian localization, and it features quite a lot of text.

Enthusiasts got to work. Mognet presented a Russian fan translation for Persona 5 Royal for Steam, Game Pass, and Nintendo Switch.

The current version of the Persona 5 Royal Russian translation offers around 150 thousand lines of text; they managed to port them from the Persona 5 Russian translation by Meloman19 for PS3.

Work on the Persona 5 Royal Russian translation is ongoing. At the moment, Russian text is missing from cutscenes, and textures remain untranslated. As Mognet points out: “Overall, if you didn’t like something, it simply means there wasn’t enough time for it”.
