Miners have begun repainting used graphics cards to pass them off as new

Not everyone is ready to take the risk of buying a graphics card previously used by a miner. The entrepreneurs understand this and resort to tricks

After the cryptocurrency market cooled down, miners began getting rid of graphics cards. Not everyone is in a hurry to buy such used hardware, which is why some miners are resorting to tricks.

It has become known that miners have started repainting memory chips. Applying paint helps conceal the yellowish tint of the components, which tellingly betrays prolonged operation under high loads.

Buying graphics cards with “yellowing” is not recommended, as this is one of the telltale signs of mining.

Resourceful individuals may also apply new markings to the chip. If rubbed, the deception is exposed.
