The End of the Sun is a first-person adventure game from a Polish studio where the player becomes a Priest capable of time travel. Following a mysterious fugitive, the protagonist arrives in a village that appears to have been abandoned in haste. Using these abilities, you must uncover what happened to the villagers.
Despite the fantastical atmosphere, the developers chose to accurately recreate items and buildings. They visited ethnographic museums and, using photogrammetry technology, created authentic models based on them. One of the game’s elements is the use of tools and objects that are no longer in use today.
An open world with a dynamic day-and-night cycle and varied weather conditions is promised. However, time travel is the most intriguing aspect. The player can move between several moments spanning across multiple years. Every action will be reflected in the future.
The player can influence the course of events and the lives of the characters they encounter. The developers mention non-linearity.
