Company CEO Paweł Marchewka reported that total sales of the Dying Light series have reached 30 million copies. Such a strong result was achieved thanks to the first installment, which has sold over 20 million copies. It appears that Dying Light 2 Stay Human added about 10 million copies to this total. Just a month after the launch, Techland reported 5 million buyers.
In May 2022, Techland announced that it was working on an open-world game under a new brand in a fantasy setting.
Techland CEO Adrian Ciszewski reported:
“We are not resting on our laurels and will continue to support the game, adding new content and solutions over the coming years.”
Dying Light 2 was one of the highest-grossing Steam releases in 2022, alongside Elden Ring or Counter Strike GO.
