Redfall hit a combo of the modern gaming industry all at once. Players aren’t too fond of the Denuvo protection system and various online restrictions

Denuvo protection was previously confirmed for Redfall. The game’s page features a corresponding notice about third-party Denuvo Anti-tamper DRM.

Some assumed that Redfall has a full-fledged offline mode, which is why Denuvo was added. However, the creators of Redfall did not stop there.

It was reported that even for single-player in Redfall, a persistent internet connection is required, as well as a Bethesda account (and platform account linking is required).

Redfall is scheduled for release on May 2, 2023.
