Sonic Frontiers exceeded all of Sega’s expectations. The company is pleased with the latest game about the Blue Hedgehog

Sonic Frontiers became a successful release for Sega. The creators took a big risk by departing from classic concepts of the super-fast hedgehog and offering players an open world. And even despite the initial confusion, many warmly welcomed the series’ new path of development.

This is best confirmed by the strong sales that the developers mentioned some time ago. They have almost reached three million. During a special Q&A panel on Reddit dedicated to Sega’s financial matters, the developers reported being very satisfied with the results. Moreover, the studio admits that the results achieved by Sonic Frontiers exceeded their wildest expectations.

This definitely bodes well not only for the game itself (which will receive its first full-fledged DLC in the near future, as highlighted during the panel), but also for the brand. It may not be long before new games dedicated to the Blue Hedgehog appear.
