Is Crusader Kings 3 being turned into The Sims? The community is disappointed with yet another mediocre expansion

The post-launch support strategy for Crusader Kings 3 had already raised questions before. Following the pricing revisions, mediocre DLCs are perceived even more acutely

The Paradox Interactive presentation took place. Another expansion for Crusader Kings 3 was announced.

The Crusader Kings 3 community is not thrilled so far with what is being offered in Tours & Tournaments. The developers have prepared a new tournament system, festivities, and more, but players were hoping for something else.

While some find the content promising, there is a noticeable amount of dissatisfaction: instead of a full-fledged overhaul of Crusader Kings 3 gameplay mechanics, a bunch of mini-events are being offered. Some get the impression that this is no longer a game about cunning schemes and intrigue, but wants to be The Sims (a life simulator).

The release of the expansion Crusader Kings 3 Tours & Tournaments is expected in the spring.
