Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty will not feature a character from the anime Cyberpunk Edgerunners. CD Projekt RED refuted the rumors

The anime Cyberpunk Edgerunners breathed new life into Cyberpunk 2077. A player stumbled upon a suspicious entry that hinted at the appearance of certain characters in the game. CD Projekt RED had to explain

Acrobatic_Internal_2 shared a journal entry with the Cyberpunk 2077 community. It refers to a quest that mentions a familiar person.

A quest titled “%DLC_MAIN% : CASION WARFARE” contains two objectives:

  • Call Falco when you are ready.
  • Watch NCORP’S [Night Corp] BD at your apartment.

And at the bottom is the note <Add description here #pl66>. Alt Cunningham is pictured in the right-hand corner.

The community began to build various theories: if this is not a fake or a bug caused by mods, Falco and Alt might appear in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty.

The information spread across the web, prompting a CD Projekt RED representative to step in. The Global PR Director stated: “[what Acrobatic_Internal_2 posted] this is not a leak. We do not have this content neither in Phantom Liberty nor in the base game.”
