Checking out the atmospheric intro to Dead Island 2. This is how the game begins

Following the recent gameplay showcase, Deep Silver has released new footage of Dead Island 2. This time, the publisher showed off the game's opening cinematic, demonstrating the ruined Los Angeles that players will explore in the second installment of the zombie series.

The video features no gameplay footage, which was previously shown in early March and in December. But after several years of virtually no news about Dead Island 2, a few minutes are not enough to satisfy players’ curiosity.

“Discover a horribly transformed Los Angeles and immerse yourself in the unique, sensational atmosphere of the game with a one-way ticket. See the deserted, blood-soaked Hollywood Boulevard and the abandoned mansions of the rich and famous. Visit what was once called the City of Angels and find out what horrors await you in sunny, zombie-infested California.”

Dead Island 2 will be released on April 21 on PC (via Epic Games Store), Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
