Historic milestone for Elden Ring. The game received its fourth major GOTY award

Elden Ring is one of the biggest launches of last year and one of the most important games not only of 2022, but of the past few years. And proof of this is the number of awards received.

At the recent GDC 2023 event, the game was awarded the “Game of the Year” statuette, making history. It is only the third game in the industry to win GOTY at four major events – The Game Awards, DICE Awards, Golden Joystick Awards, and GDC Awards.

The two previous games that can boast such high acclaim need no introduction – The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. And hardly anyone doubts, even regardless of personal preferences, that Elden Ring deserves to stand alongside these gaming heavyweights.
