Media outlets drew attention to a study exploring the family tree of the heads of NVIDIA and AMD. That Jensen Huang and Lisa Su shared some degree of kinship was no secret, but it was thought to be “distant”.
As it turns out, the heads of NVIDIA and AMD are quite close. Judging by the presented tree, Huang and Lisa Su share a common ancestor — a grandfather (although for Lisa, he is rather a great-grandfather). In total, the grandfather had around 12 children.
It turns out that Lisa Su is the daughter of one of the daughters of Huang’s mother’s brother.
