Diablo 4 fan cleared 1,270 basements in three days and realized it was a waste of time

An enthusiastic gamer set out to actively clear activities in Diablo 4. The result was a study with rather disappointing findings

MrFrodoBeggins shared how he cleared 1,270 basements in Diablo 4 over three days. Basements are one of the activities in the world of Blizzard’s new game, functioning like quick mini-dungeons.

Depending on the region, MrFrodoBeggins cleared between 230 and 290 basements. After clearing 1,270 basements, he received 82.7 million experience; 200 legendary items; 13 unique items; 6,352 obols.

MrFrodoBeggins concluded that at the moment, basements in Diablo 4 are "the MOST useless activity that slows down: gaining experience, farming resources, getting legendary and unique items, and overall any currency". 

In fact, the most profitable part of running basements for MrFrodoBeggins turned out to be running between them — the researcher gathered resources along the way.
