The next installment of the updated classic, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, will be released on PlayStation 5 consoles on February 29, 2024.
Square Enix has significantly expanded the familiar plot while emphasizing an important detail — Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will stand as a “standalone story”. Players do not necessarily need to know the events of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
“The journey into the unknown continues... After escaping the dystopian city of Midgar, Cloud and his friends embark on a journey across the planet. New adventures await them in a vast world — sprint across grassy plains on a chocobo and explore expansive environments.”
An edition of the game featuring both Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will go on sale shortly.
The fresh trailer showcased many familiar locations, characters, and even mini-games.
