A biological weapon that fell into the wrong hands is responsible for the appearance of zombies in the game. The trailer contains no gameplay footage, which, as known from previous announcements, is set to differ from what was in previous installments.
Activision promises that the revamped mode will be “the largest in the franchise’s history”. The game will also feature a story campaign that serves as a full-fledged continuation of the events from Modern Warfare 2. The main antagonist of Task Force 141 will be Vladimir Makarov, one of the series’ most famous characters.
Modern Warfare 3 will be released on November 10 on PC and both generations of PlayStation and Xbox. The game is already available for pre-order.
A more expensive edition will offer early access to the story campaign and the multiplayer beta. This edition includes 16 remastered maps from the classic Modern Warfare 2 released in 2009.
