Russian commentators found in EA Sports FC 24. A scandalous story of brazen cost-cutting
Translated with AI from the Russian original.
Early access to EA Sports FC 24 has opened. While playing, users began hearing suspiciously familiar voices
Those who pre-ordered the premium edition of EA Sports FC 24 are participating in early access. The game received Russian localization, and players can hear the voices of Cherdantsev and Genich, as pointed out by Zhenya Evnevich (and later by their fellow commentator Dmitry Shnyakin).
Dmitry Shnyakin writes:
“A curious and somewhat scandalous story related to the new FIFA. More precisely, it is now FC24.
Listen closely. The voices of Cherdantsev and Genich in the Russian version are still in the game. Many years ago, they voiced an enormous base set of game situations, and in subsequent seasons, they simply recorded additional voice lines for new surnames. Now, EA Sports simply used their previous work. WITHOUT paying. However, the details of previous agreements are quite interesting.
Quite a reverse parallel import:)”
The full release of EA Sports FC 24 is expected on September 29.
