Another patch has unexpectedly been released for Baldur's Gate 3

Players can download the ninth hotfix, which will especially appeal to fans who love creating and tweaking their characters' appearances.

According to the official patch notes, the “Magic Mirror” will now allow players to alter the appearance of hirelings, i.e., companions without a storyline. In addition to their look, they can also be given new names. However, just like with story companions, changing race or gender will remain impossible.

The hotfix should also reduce the frequency of crashes when saving and loading the game. Furthermore, animations that could glitch due to skipping dialogue too quickly have been fixed, and split-screen performance on PS5 has been improved. The developers thank players and ask them to continue submitting bug reports.

As a reminder, the previous major patch was released in late September and introduced the Magic Mirror – a tool that allows players to change their characters’ appearance.
