SCS Software has showcased footage of update 1.49 for American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2. The graphics of the truck driving simulators will look even better.
In the world of ETS 2 and ATS, the Moon will appear in the night sky, adding an extra layer of realism (this might seem like a small touch, but it took quite a bit of work, as the Moon acts as a light source and affects reflections — everything had to be accounted for).
The night sky itself has been reimagined: there are now dynamic stars that will gently twinkle.
Skyboxes have undergone changes: they will work in HDR, meaning players can expect richer and more vibrant colors in the sky. Weather effects have also been updated, allowing players to check out lightning.
