Support for Nintendo Switch will end on January 31, 2024. On that day, software users will lose access to the service, and the Twitch app will be removed from distribution on the Nintendo console even earlier – as soon as November 6, 2023.
Twitch thanked Switch users for their support and for using the service. The company noted that Nintendo is a “valuable partner” and that making the decision to remove the app from Switch “was not easy.”
The Twitch app has been available on Switch since November 2021. The software was far from perfect. The program did not support several important features on the Nintendo console that Twitch users were accustomed to.
