Recently, a new playable character was introduced for Mortal Kombat 1. It is Omni-Man from Invincible.
In Mortal Kombat 1, an entire fighter was priced at 8 dollars (Shang Tsung as well). For comparison, the recent Halloween fatality available to all fighters was priced at 1,200 crystals (1,250 is ~$10).
Also, some skins in Mortal Kombat 1 cost ~$10, meaning they are also more expensive than a new fighter.
However, Omni-Man has additional monetization: an announcer pack voiced by J.K. Simmons is on sale for ~$10.
