Valve designers Lawrence Yang and Pierre-Loup Griffais revealed in an interview that Valve has sold “multiple millions” of Steam Deck devices. In October of last year, the company could boast of having shipped over a million devices to stores, so it is hardly surprising that this figure has only grown over the past 13 months. Steam Deck has become a true hit for Valve.
The employees did not want to brag about specific results — one can only assume that over 2 million Steam Decks have been distributed.
However, the results cannot fail to please Valve, as the company has already introduced an updated model of the handheld console with an OLED screen and gently hinted at working on the Steam Deck 2.
