Fans are worried about the fate of the Silent Hill 2 remake. Developers assure the game is in development

Back in March, Bloober Team reported that the game was “technically ready,” but details remain unknown to this day. And fans are troubled by this state of affairs.

“Tell me, has Silent Hill 2 Remake been canceled, because this really feels like a joke,” one player wrote on Twitter. In response, the company shared a GIF: “Certainly not. Not true.”

“Where is the remake?” another person asked and received an animated picture saying “work in progress”.

“It’s tough sitting in the fog for over a year without any news, even a few screenshots would be nice.” To this, Bloober responded: “Konami is the publisher of the game and communication is definitely part of their job.”

“Silent Hill 2 is technically ready. It does not mean that the game is finished, but we are close. However, the issue of the release schedule lies with our partners, what the promotion will look like and when the title will premiere is not directly in our hands,” Piotr Babieno, head of the Polish studio, stated in March.

Apparently, “technical readiness” was misinterpreted, as it did not mean the game was close to completion. Right now, the studio is not ready to share anything new about the remake.
