“I often get comments like that. People say it would be great if I started collaborating with creators like Yoko Taro, Hideo Kojima, and so on. Listen to me... it would be a DISASTER!”
“It is not like in Dragon Ball, where Goku can fuse with other characters. Two people with completely different personalities and ideas would clash terribly. A good game would not come out of that.”
As a reminder, Kamiya’s studio announced his departure in September 2023, and he remained in his post until October 12. The reason for leaving was not disclosed, but Kamiya assured that he would continue creating games in his own style.
