An enthusiast dissected The Day Before and discovered a Frankenstein game. It seems to be assembled from dozens of Unreal Engine assets

Prior to the launch of The Day Before, the developers were repeatedly accused of using ready-made Unreal Engine Marketplace assets. It seems those were not empty words

The Day Before was recently launched in Steam Early Access. The game’s quality raises certain questions.

A developer known as SALAZAR decided to dissect The Day Before and dig into its files. Judging by the results of his investigation, this game is made of ready-made assets. He calls it nothing less than an “asset Frankenstein”.

SALAZAR shared the following opinion: “The game is assembled from dozens of assets on the Unreal Marketplace. Just dozens of assets familiar to me [animations, textures, building models, prop models]. To confirm my words, google any folder name and you will find an asset on the market...

in fact, there is practically no original content in the game. Just a couple of folders from people named "Egor", "Diana", "Emil".”.

At the same time, SALAZAR promoted his own project; you can add it to your Steam wishlist here.
