Rise of the Ronin is Team Ninja’s largest game. Prices and add-ons revealed for different editions

Rise of the Ronin is another intriguing project being developed by Team Ninja in collaboration with the Sony team.

At The Game Awards 2023, the game’s release date was announced – March 22, 2023. As planned, pre-orders will open on December 14, and players can expect several bonuses.

The developers have paid great attention to making the gameplay experience as complete as possible — Rise of the Ronin will be the studio’s largest game. The fate of the main character will be influenced to varying degrees by figures such as Ryoma Sakamoto and Shoin Yoshida, innovators who sought to modernize the country at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate’s rule.

Team Ninja President Fumihiko Yasuda noted on the PlayStation Blog:

“Rise of the Ronin is a game with Koei Tecmo’s signature historical setting, while also featuring Team Ninja’s own combat prowess. In creating our largest game to date, we worked with the SIE team to craft an experience that allows players to fully embody a ronin at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate.”

The standard game is priced at $69.99 (€79.99), while the Digital Deluxe edition is $79.99 (€89.99). In addition to the pre-order bonus (a katana and ninja armor, 4 unlocked combat styles), buyers can look forward to several add-ons, including a ninja staff, dual swords, warrior armor, Japanese attire, a soundtrack, and a digital artbook.
