Ubisoft changed the name and increased prices for the Ubisoft+ subscription service

Ubisoft+ is a service that grants players access to all games from the French corporation. Ubisoft also offers games from third-party partners, which is likely why it is introducing changes.

From now on, Ubisoft+ players can access either the classic or premium version. However, there are significant changes here: on the one hand, players will get more games, but on the other, significantly fewer.

  • Ubisoft+ Classic is a PC service, and for $7.99 a month it grants access to “more than 50 iconic games”. Standard editions of select games are available here.
  • Ubisoft+ Premium offers more than 100 games for $17.99 a month, day-one access to new releases, and premium editions. While the entire library is available on PC, select games can be played on Xbox.

For example, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (the Deluxe Edition launches today), Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora, Assassin's Creed Mirage, and the upcoming Skull and Bones will be available on Xbox and PC via Ubisoft+ Premium.

The Ubisoft+ Classic game catalog will continually expand, though Ubisoft has not yet confirmed specific details—it is worth noting that PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra subscribers sometimes receive games from Ubisoft+ Classic.

There is a hint that Activision Blizzard games will appear in the subscription in the future.
